about DEBRA
Debra’s passion is to reach hurting women with the encouragement of Christ. Her book Help! My Husband Has Sexually Abused Our Daughter: A Devotional for Mothers of Victims, written from personal experience, was released in 2007. In March 2009, she launched Glory and Strength.com, a webzine dedicated to helping abuse survivors find hope and healing. The bi-monthly webzine covers such topics as sexual abuse prevention, addictions and recovery, pornography prevention, how to survive a crisis, chronic illness, and more. The webzine steers readers to God as their ultimate source of hope and healing and offers practical guidance.
Debra has been published in The Dabbling Mum.com webzine, On Course (online edition) and has written on assignment for Josephine and Sunny magazines. Her article “Not Why, But What” will appear in the July 2010 issue of LIVE magazine and “Reclaim Your Life and Confidence” will appear in the August issue of Susie magazine. She is a contributor and co-editor of the book Lifecapades: Revelations of Generations. She has written as a guest blogger for Sandra Byrd and also writes on various writing topics for writers’ newsletters. Debra is a graduate of the Jerry B. Jenkins Christian Writers Guild Apprentice program and member of Heart of America Christian Writers Network.
Debra has three grown children, two grandchildren and lives in northwest Missouri.
