BIO

Debra was born in Nebraska, but has lived as far west as Hawaii and as far east as North Carolina, plus many states in between. Landstuhl, Germany was home for four years at the beginning of Desert Storm and the fall of the Berlin Wall. While there, she served as a school volunteer and PTSA president. During Desert Storm she volunteered at the Ramstein Air Force Base medical clinic administration office.

She and her family left Europe in August 1991 for Colorado Springs, Colorado. Debra spent the next 3 years home schooling her then 10-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son in addition to having a baby.

Debra returned to the workforce in 1997, and in 1998 joined Focus on the Family's in-house ad agency. She worked as an administrative assistant, jr. account manager, jr. copywriter, and project manager before leaving in 2005 to move to Missouri. She was a contributing editor to Voice for All Nations  magazine for 1.5 years. These experiences have given Debra a wide variety of skills from copywriting and proofreading to editing and account management.

Debra served 3.5 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and 3 years in the Air Force Reserve. She is highly active in the Marine Corps League as paymaster and webmaster for Northwest Missouri Detachment 180.

Her hobbies include reading and crochet. She is the proud grandmother of two.
