The In-Between Book Giveaway Contest

I thought it was time for a break, so I’m shaking things up a bit today. Instead of marketing news, I’m posting a book giveaway contest (which can serve as a marketing tool, but more on that next week).

The In-Between book give away contest from Debra L. ButterfieldThe Prize:

Jeff Goins’ new book The In Between, a marvelous book you won’t want to put down once you pick it up. Visit to learn more about the book. I discovered Jeff Goins’ blog,, last year, where I’ve found encouragement and meaty advice about blogging and writing. He is also the author of the Tribe Writers course I advertise in the sidebar (affiliate program.)

How to Enter:

You must leave a relevant comment about any of this week’s posts, including leaving your suggestion for a caption to the photo at the bottom of this post. Relevant means you must address the content of the post. Things like “great post, way to go, I agree, terrific website” DO NOT count.

You may comment everyday, and if you engage in a conversation with other commenters or me, those comments will count (unless they fall into the above mentioned category). There will be at least 3 posts this week, so that offers plenty of opportunities for you to leave a comment.

Who May Enter:

You must be a US resident to enter. Shipment to APO and FPO addresses is acceptable.

Contest Deadline:

The contest will run from today, Sep. 16 through Friday, Sep. 20. All comments must be left no later than 11:59 p.m. (CDT) on Friday.

The Winner and Winner Notification:

The winner will be chosen randomly, and announced on next Monday’s blog post (Sep. 23). The winner has 48 hours in which to contact me via email at Deb [at] with their address. If winner fails to respond an alternate winner will randomly be chosen.

If an alternate winner must be chosen, I will announce that via the blog. The alternate must notify me via email with 48 hours.

Today’s comment option is to give this photo a caption. Maybe mine will give you some ideas. Have fun!

Happy writing.

Self-Publishing Workshops and Book Contests

Write Integrity Press is holding two workshops on self-publishing. These workshops are not on the craft of writing, but will take you from a completed, edited manuscript through a “do-it-yourself” publishing process, providing you with the information and skills you need for formatting, cover design, self-editing, and prepping for publication.

Self-Publish Your Novel
June 1, 9 AM – 5 PM; Registration and set up begin at 8:30.
Unicoi State Park, Helen, Georgia

Self-Publish Your Nonfiction Book
June 8, 2013 9 AM – 5 PM; Registration and set up begin at 8:30.
Unicoi State Park, Helen, Georgia

Cost for each workshop: $99 Early Bird May 1-14 / $119 May 15-30. Register at Write Integrity

They’ll walk you through every step of the process, provide you with a workshop booklet to take home, and be available for coaching to help you through any obstacles you may encounter. Registration fee includes workshop, materials and handouts, buffet lunch, and breaks. BONUS: Registration includes one month of coaching AFTER the workshop ends. (You may choose the month – does not have to be in June, but must be scheduled.)

Due to the intensity of this course, and one-on-one instruction, space is limited to 15 participants.

Books of Joy Contest

Write Integrity is seeking books in series of three, and winners could receive a three-book publication contract! The series of books can be fiction or nonfiction, but must carry a message of JOY in some form or fashion. Be creative. Give us characters we can love in the novels, and issues we can care about in the nonfiction.

One First Prize FICTION Winner will receive a $500 Cash Prize and our standard publication contract for the three-book series.

One First Prize NONFICTION Winner will receive a $500 Cash Prize and our standard publication contract for the three-book series.

Runner-up awards will also be given. Two additional contests are also underway that involve only one book. Deadlines are approaching. For more contest information visit Write Integrity Press.
