Thank you all for helping me celebrate my birthday! It was such a fun week for me.
Your answers to my question about whether to write one book with a double romance or an entirely separate book with a romance for Abby have given me lots of food for thought. As I continue writing book two, I’ll plant the seeds for Abby’s romance, but your guess is as good as mine whether she’ll get a book of her own or not.
Admittedly, the hardest part about writing any romance will be dealing with the formulaic structure of the genre. I don’t like reading books that are predictable. And romance has got to be one of the most predictable genres there is. I don’t doubt avid romance fans know exactly when to expect the rift that temporarily halts the budding romance.
I promise my readers stories that aren’t mundane or predictable. Please pray that God, as I write for Him, will continue to give me His insights and guidance on how to make Sally’s and Abby’s romances unpredictable yet still give a satisfying ending.
Watch upcoming posts for when I call for beta readers for book 2. That will be your opportunity to read book 2 of the Her Inheritance series and give your feedback on what works and what doesn’t.
