Stay in Faith

As I looked back over my posts from 2024, I noted a theme: believe and trust in God.

Both of which require faith. Especially when your prayers seem unanswered…or your desires unmet…and you’re losing hope.

As I wrote this, I found myself listening to Danny Gokey’s song “Haven’t Seen It Yet.” On the heels of that, I listened to “Stay Strong.” I needed those reminders: that good things are coming, and that I need to stay strong in my faith.

The Subtle Lie of If Only One Person

Dispelling the subtle lie of "only one person." You can reach the crowd.

Last month I looked at some of the subtle lies Satan plants in our hearts without us even knowing it. In actuality, I’m on a cleaning binge. I’m working to clean out the lies I have unwittingly embraced and that have kept me from enjoying the abundant life Jesus promised.

A lie I’d like to peel apart today is “If only one person is changed by _____________, then it was worth it.” You fill in the blank. Changed by:

  • The encouraging words I spoke
  • The prayers I uttered
  • The time I spent leading and teaching a Bible study
  • The book I wrote.
